here are a few HAND-DRAWN pictures from my sister's DA.

who are these people you draw?

oh, and...

no &*^%%$^ no way. no *&^^%$^  no (&^)&*%# no way!

this is NOT doable by hand.

******

ok, yes i've seen it done before, but you are among the select few who see things in ways regular folk can't, and know how to coordinate your hands in ways regular folk would take a couple of life times to achieve.

just saying...

~sigh... if only you could monetize your abilities... but that problem sort of runs in the family, doesn't it?

lamas to you sis...

alright, let me go google their names and find out who they is...

oh crap...

couldn't sleep as usual,
ended up reading Jon Ronson's "The Psychopath Test"

not very comforting.i have symptoms?
i might be a nut job after all!

on the Hare test:
i might have item#2, grandiose sense of self-worth
or item#3 prone to boredom
or item#6, lack of remorse or guilt
or itme#13, lack of realistic long-term goals
or item#16, unable to accept responsibility for oneself

there goes my 40 winks.

my ennui isn't helping. i am reminded of Sickert to make matters worst.

should not read late at night.

moving on...

lost in space

where am i?

blogging about fiddle making feels isolated and a little ancient.. its like talking to yourself on a string telephone. you could talk on one end and run real fast to the other end to answer back.

lastest viola:
model: twisted gaspar, 15 1/4"
bent stika top, 2 piece
poplar (home depot) back
neck/sides of cheap maple

meanwhile...
16 1/2", bent 2 piece stika top as usual, carved 1-piece maple back.

and now, a few shots of a real viola by Wallin:

love the form.. very clean and elegant

looks to be pear... maybe?

nice...

i need to have my eyes checked...
